Welcome to our fun and creative art program for children that celebrates the work of a different artists. Through this program our little artists will explore unique styles, techniques, and stories behind the masterpieces, sparking imagination and creativity. This class is designed as a one-to-two teaching ratio, giving each child plenty of attention and guidance to explore their creativity.
Art plays a vital role in a child's development, helping to build fine motor skills, boost imagination and encourage self-expression - all while having fun!
For our very first project, we dived into the colorful world of Eric Carle, the beloved illustrator and author known for his vibrant collage art and timeless childen's books like The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The kids had a blast creating their own bright and beautiful artwork inspired by his distinctive style! Stay tuned as we continue to explore more amazing artists and inspire our young learners to express themselves through art.
Last week, our Gentog kiddos and grandparents took an exciting art adventure learning all about the incredible artist Yayoi Kusama, often called the "Princess of Polka Dots." Yayoi Kusama has been drawing and painting dots since she was a child and is considered one of the most famous living artists today! She's known for her work in sculpture, installation, painting, poetry, fashion, and performance—all often featuring her signature dots. We had a blast making our own polka-dot masterpieces for Halloween! 🎃
