Janice's Story

She grew up in a school for the blind, and now resides with me.  I believed that she needed a social outlet, and looked for ideas with her caseworker, who suggested Gentog.  She attends the program 3 days per week, for 5 hours each day.

When we first toured the program, I liked the feeling of happiness there.  Everyone was helpful and kind to my sister and to me.

This program is perfect for my sister.  It is not too overwhelming, and she is comfortable there.  I like this program, as it offers Bible study and prayer.  My sister loves to socially interact with others and staff.  She enjoys doing the crafts that she is able to do.  My sister has grown mentally and socially because of Gentog's staff and participants.  She loves to have friends.

I enjoy the peace and quiet of each day.  I can regroup and refresh, making me ready to give my sister my best care when she returns home.
