Pre-Kindergarten - The Lions (ages 4-5)

The focus of this class is Kindergarten readiness, as we try our best to address every aspect of graduating into Kinder! Academics continue, as the Lions follow the curriculum they add skills like writing their entire name, introducing themselves, making new friends, taking care of themselves and their classrooms, and showing kindness and respect for all people. Have no fear, the fun continues as they learn these skills through games, art and music! 

The Lions class shares their space with the Tigers. This allows the Lions to practice their kindergarten skills and encourages the Tigers to do the same. Lions are often helping their classmates learn the skills they have already mastered like making their beds, using scissors, and getting the marker lids fully back on the marker.

The Tigers and Lions have two scheduled “Grandparent Times” during the day! They do art, play games, and listen to visiting musicians with the seniors in the morning, and again after nap. During their afternoon visits they also have music class, tumbling class, yoga, and guest read alouds! At this age they continue their Art Adventures with Ms. Monique and, their music classes evolve to being learning how to read music, and play musical instruments like the ukulele!
